Managers seek alumni talent |

Jack Hinton, Senior Director of HSE at Baker Hughes, is keen to access a broader network of talent than simply using search firms or colleagues that existing staff know. “Often when we have project work, we reach out to someone who is leaving and set them up with a short-term contract or we contact a recent retiree. The HSE team could use Baker Hughes alumni to search for professionals in this discipline,” explains Hinton.
Have you updated your Baker Hughes alumni profile to indicate your availability, your area of expertise and the regions in which you are willing to work? Hinton foresees that 2010 will continue the positive trends seen in the fourth quarter of 2009, with respect to rig counts in North America, both oil and gas, increasing and international activity improving. “A rebound in activity with a focus to use outsourced assistance equates to opportunities for alumni to get involved again with Baker Hughes,” added Hinton.
